Mark’s area of expertise is software
development. He works directly with
clients to discover what they
require in a new program before
designing and developing appropriate
software. He then provides
instruction, writes a manual, and
creates on-screen help options.
Mark said it is vital to work
closely with the client to create a
program that is practical, easy to
use, and meets their needs.
Dunedin born-and-bred, Mark studied
a Bachelor of Information Technology
at Otago Polytechnic before taking
up a position at SmartMedia
Solutions. He worked here for over
three years, moving from a junior
developer position to a senior
development position.
At SmartMedia Solutions, Mark worked
on web development and “smart”
database programs (using C# and
MSSQC) designed to save users
significant amounts of time and
