association. The organisation was formed last year and replaced
the former Biotech Association and Biotenz. Brian
Ward was appointed the CEO of the organisation in September 2003. NZBio
has a wide range of goals covering many areas of supporting the
industry, creating the ideal environment for it to operate in and
promoting biotechnology.

These are antibacterial peptides or proteins that are able to kill or

substance which the Company is developing is from a microorganism
called
Streptococcus salivarius, which produces an antibacterial protein named
Salivaricin B. Salivaricin B is a BLIS, hence the Company's name, BLIS
